Hanefi KURT

He was born in Muğla in 1974. He completed his primary education at Muğla Atatürk Primary School and his secondary and high school education at Muğla Anatolian High School. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 1997, which he started in 1992.
He completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Prosthodontics, Istanbul University Health Sciences Institute.. He worked in the Department of Prosthodontics at the same university between 1998 and 2011.
Prof. Dr. Hanefi Kurt started to work at İstanbul Medipol University in 2011. He is still working at the same university in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry. He is the Chairman of Dental Prosthesis Technology Program of Health Services Vocational School and a member of the Board of Dentistry Faculty.

He is married and has one child.

 

What records do I need from the dentist to prepare the right occlusion? How should I transfer these to articulator?

 

Occlusion is one of the most important issues in dentistry practice. The arrangement of the right occlusion is the most important goal of all dental treatments. It is also the most important criteria for the success of orthodontic and restorative treatments, removable and fixed partial dentures in the rehabilitation of missing teeth.

Occlusion is also an important factor that affecting the success of implant supported restorations.The dentist expects the technician to prepare the most accurate occlusion after the impression and centric relation records. Is this enough to arrange the right occlusion? What records do I need to get from my dentist ? How should the technician transmit these records to the articulator? Which articulator should I choose? What are the limitations of articulators and how should they be chosen?
The purpose of this lecture is to understand the responsibilities of the dentist and technician in the preparation of the ideal occlusion by finding the correct answers to the above questions.
