Sustainable Digital Workflow in Implant Based Prosthodontics
Advancement in Medicine and Dentistry have introduced more and more digital tools into our profession, these tools enable us to have higher level of data and imaging of our patient and case for the purpose of both diagnosis and decision making i.e Treatment-plan, further tools enable us to produce delivery-systems to make the clinical phase both shorter and with higher precision, even in the final stages we can use intra-oral scanning to enable a digital to digital work where the lab continues working without any conversion from analog and finally producing the final product/prosthesis in a CAM with very high precision-ability. These tools have completely changed our WorkFlow and influenced our working protocols.
The aim of this lecture is to address this Digital workflow, and to show whether this is a viable and sustainable way of working in a day to day clinical work. And to ask wether Dentistry today is really Digital?
