Diagnose to Manegement: Oral Disease
The cancer cases in all over the world constitutes about 5% of oral cancer. It is known that periodical check in individuals with high risk oral cancer is to reduce the mortality. Therefore dentists who are dealing with the  oral health have a great responsibility  to explain to the patients for the   important risk factors of alcohol use and smoking in oral cancer and it is essential   to do regular checks in order to identify the early signs of oral cancer. First stage of this service is the knowledge of precancerous lesions of malignant nature, increasing the rate of clinical diagnosis of lesions and to determine the possible early stages. A systematic approach for evaluating the clinical development of precancerous describes on this circumstance. Clinical assessment methods in practical diagnosis of frequently encountered oral diseases in the mouth cases will be discussed over.

Erdogan Fisekcioglu has graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1998. He has attended the PhD program for Oral Diagnosis and Radiology of the same university, academic years 1998-2004. He has started to work as a research assistant at the Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry Department of Oral Diagnosis and Radiology in 2006 and He was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the following year 2007. He has achieved to be awarded the title of Associate Professor in April 2015.  He has still been working at the same department of the same University as an Associate Professor. His research topics are oral precancerous lesion, oral disease, oral lichen planus, cone beam computed tomography, digital radiography, systemic diseases related with dentistry and teaching. He is a member of the Education Comitee of  European Academy of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. He is also member of European Association of Oral Medicine, Association of Oral Diagnosis and Maxillofacial Radiology and Association of Dental Laser Academy.
