Basic Principles of Grafting for Simple Alveoler Ridge Deficiencies
One of the most important points of dental implant prognosis is the sufficient hard and soft tissue volume in the surgical area. Hard tissue augmentations previously or simultaneously with implant placement according to the alveolar bone quantity are very important for long term survival of dental implants. Especially at the planning phase, it is important to decide the augmentation necessity and surgical method with the guidance of prosthetically driven implant position, instead of only evaluating the alveoler bone quantitiy. In this presentation, augmentation procedures, observable basic surgical principles, biomaterial choices in the existence of biomaterial requirement and clinical tricks for prevention of complications will be discussed and presented for the insufficient alveoler ridge patients in clinical practice. The main purpose of this presentation is describing the basic principles for the success of the augmentation techniques that are decided according to the type of the local alveoler defects with clinic cases.
