Abstracts may be submitted via internet only through the website of the congress  Abstracts submitted via e-mail and post other than the system indicated above will not be accepted.

All abstracts to be presented during the congress should contribute to the scientific developments and literature in the field of dentistry and should contain a result message. The first names, last names and institutions of all authors should be specified in the abstracts. In each abstract, a ‘‘responsible author’’ should be specified and his/her e-mail and contact details should be provided. When sending the abstracts, the method of presentation should be specified (Oral/Poster). The Assessment Committee reserves the right to change the method of presentation.

Deadline for the Abstract Submission

The abstracts prepared in accordance with the rules should be uploaded in the system through the online abstracts submission page no later than 09.06.2019. The abstracts submitted after this date will not be accepted. Letter of acceptance will be sent by e-mail to the responsible authors of the oral and poster abstracts that are accepted for presentation. The presenters of the accepted abstracts must sign up for the congress no later than 05.07.2019. The abstracts of the responsible authors that failed to sign up until such data will not be published in the program brochure.

Editorial Guidelines for Abstract Submissions

  • Abstracts will be collected through the online abstract system.
  • All abstracts should be written in English and all grammar rules should be followed.
  • A person can make presentations with maximum 2 abstracts as 1 oral and 1 poster or 2 posters.
  • No academic titles should be used within the name of the author. Only the initials of the first and last name of the author should be capitalized.
  • Abstracts should follow this order: Objective, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Case presentations should follow this order: Objective, Case Presentation and Conclusions.
  • Abstracts should be no more than 300 characters excluding the title and names of authors. Titles should be no more than 10 words. The title of the abstract should reflect the content of the abstract.
  • Tables, figures, graphics and pictures should not be used in the abstracts.
  • To receive a certificate, the presenter should personally make the presentation at the time and on the date designated in the schedule.

Any abstracts that do not follow any of the foregoing rules will be disqualified irrespective of the contents.

Important Points

  • If you are using the online submission module for the first time, you should click the link “New User” and sign up for the system.
  • If you logged in TDB 2019 online registration system before, you can use the same user ID and password to log in the online abstract submission system.
  • After you complete the registration procedure, the explanations provided in the page will help you. Carefully read the message and explanations provided.
  • As any mistakes in the spelling of the abstracts submitted electronically will be reproduced as you typed them, you should be careful not to make any spelling mistakes.
  • Keep the approval messages to be sent to your e-mail address after you submit your abstracts.
  • You can follow up the entire assessment process regarding your abstracts by logging in the system using your e-mail address and password.

Assessment of Abstracts
The assessment will be made online by the Abstracts Assessment Committee anonymously without disclosing the first/last name and institutions of researchers. To assess the abstracts, at least one of the researchers must complete the congress registration procedure. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to allocate abstracts to either oral presentations or poster sessions. The assessment results will be sent to all owners of abstracts as a letter of result. We kindly urge all owners of abstracts to comply with the final decision about how they should make their presentations.

Certificate of Participation
During the congress, certificate of participation will be awarded. To receive a certificate, the presenter should personally make the presentation at the time and on the date designated in the schedule.
