Emre TOKAR

He was born in 1988 in Ankara, Turkey. He finished primary and high schools in Ankara.
He began his dental education in Faculty of Dentistry, Ankara University in 2004 and was successfully graduated in 2009, and received dentist diploma. 
He began his doctoral training in Department of Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Ankara University in 2009. He transferred his doctoral training to same department of Gazi University in 2011. He performed PhD degree when defended his thesis title with “Photoelastic stress analysis of vertical load transfer characteristics on implant-supported overdenture treatment modality with different angle and inter-implant distances for completely edentuluos mandible” in 2014.   
He served as Third/Second Lieutenant Dental Specialist in Section of Prosthodontics, Dental Clinics, Istanbul Haydarpasa Training Hospital of Gulhane Military Medical Academy in 2015.
He worked as visiting scholar in Minnesota Dental Research Center for Biomaterials and Biomechanics, Department of Restorative Sciences, School of Dentistry, University of Minnesota in 2017.
He was promoted to Assistant Professor in Faculty of Dentistry, Gazi University in 2018. He is still working as academic staff member in same university. He is married and has one child.

 

Prevention of Cross-Infection

 

Behavior and approach of medical professionals to patients are important before, during and after treatment, because of dramatically increased contagious diseases in recent years. All of the medical professionals and providers interacting with contaminated body fluids or mucosa should follow fundamental procedures. Environments such as, dental hospitals or clinics, and dental prostheses and orthodontics laboratories are tremendously awaked to cross-infection risk. Current epidemiological data show that the risk of oral healthcare professionals contracting diseases through the provision of dental treatment is minimized when recommended infection control procedures are routinely followed. This lecture will comprehensively describe precautions to take for prevention of cross-infection.
